”Consultation Session for Foreign Residents” Was Held!

公開日 2026.02.02

On Sunday, January 25, 2026, TOPIA held a “Consultation Session for Foreign Residents” at TOPIA.

This consultation session was organized with the aim of helping foreign residents living in Tokushima feel safe and secure in their daily lives. On the day of the event, officials from the Takamatsu Regional Immigration Services Bureau, Tokushima Branch Office, were invited, and consultations were provided for four groups who had registered in advance.

In recent years, various systems surrounding foreign residents have changed, and we sometimes hear voices of misunderstanding and anxiety from foreign residents. In particular, matters related to residence status are the most important aspect of living in Japan, and it is essential for each individual to have a clear understanding of their own residence status.

During this consultation session, participants asked questions such as “What procedures are required to change my residence status?” and “What are the requirements for renewal?” As needed, TOPIA’s counselors provided interpretation support.

We will continue to promote cooperation with immigration offices and other related organizations so that such consultation sessions can be held in the future.

At TOPIA, we regularly accept consultations regarding daily life from foreign residents. If you have any difficulties or concerns about living in Japan, please feel free to contact us.
