Redback Spider Found in Naruto
08/02/2010
On July 30th at Ote beach on Satoura street in Naruto, Tokushima prefecture, a Redback spider was reportedly found and exterminated.
The Redback spider primarily inhabits tropic and subtropic regions, and features a red pattern on its back. If you treat it respectfully and refrain from touching it with bare hands, it is unlikely you will be bitten, but small children and elderly who are bitten can become severely ill.
If you are bitten, please consult with a doctor or medical institution.
